Dupe Alert: JOAH Beauty
Is this everyone’s best-kept secret? I really want to know. Why am I just finding out about this?!
After popping into CVS for a couple of things, I stumbled across this brand display, that was actually cute! I bought a liquid lip, a primer, and a setting spray to try out. I looked them up when I got home and saw they claimed to be inspired by K-beauty and claim that some of their products were preferred over some #1 Prestige products! Was I skeptical? Absolutely…but let me tell you, they did not disappoint.

JOAH Wat-a-matte Liquid Lipstick - $7.50
Why I love it: This liquid lip was more than I could have asked for. It’s incredibly smooth without any stickiness. The color, Cherry Cola, was absolutely gorgeous and I think it’s a dupe for Jeffrey Star’s Designer Blood Liquid Lip. 10/10 recommend!
Product Description: Paint on the ultimate matte finish! Our highly pigmented formula colors lips in one stroke. Apply lightly or add layers for the most intense color payoff.
Weightless comfort
Velvety smooth finish
Long lasting
Velvety formula doesn't leave your lips feeling or looking dry
JOAH Pore De-activator - $12.50
Why I love it: I was not expecting to get this much from a primer at CVS. It says it compares to the #1 selling primer in the Prestige beauty, that’s a lot to live up to. It took a few pumps but it was sticky, exactly like the Milk Hydro Grip. It went on smooth and it was flawless! I was beyond shocked. This is absolutely a dupe for the Milk primer.
Product Description: See pores that look visibly smaller! This translucent formula instantly minimizes the appearance of pores and blurs flaws. Controls shine and creates a smooth finish. Complements all skin tones.
Preferred over the #1 prestige primer*
Infused with tea tree extract, known for its skin healing and antiseptic properties
Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Based on a blind usage study with 100 U.S. women in Oct. 2019 in comparison to the #1 selling primer from NPD group, Inc./U.S. Prestige Beauty Total Measured Market Makeup Sales, 1H 2019.
Selfie Ready Setting Spray Matte Me Down- $8.50
My thoughts: I wasn’t in love with the smell, it had a very grandma-like perfume smell that did go away, but it was definitely not a plus. I feel like it did a great job performance-wise, I’m going to update my review after wearing all day.
Product Description: You’ll be ready for your close-up without any shine! Lightweight, formula creates a base to prevent makeup meltdown and give skin a soft matte finish. Also sets makeup for long wear.
